From our research, it could be due to the amount of liquid within and would affect having consistent pressure while cooking. This could be taken into consideration when you are purchasing any type of pressure cooker, unless you are cooking for a huge group of people, we think 6 quarts should be adequate.
What’s The Difference Between a Pressure Cooker and a Slow Cooker
Pressure cooker does the cooking at high pressure in a sealed vessel, in the process of using liquid and having steam. Under high pressure, it limits boiling and allows cooking temperature to go above 100 degrees.
In the process of cooking using the pressure cooker, air will be expelled from the vessel and retaining steam produced from the boiling liquid within. The internal pressure would rise and thus increasing the cooking temperature. High thermal heat would transfer from the steam and your food get cooks half and a quarter the time of conventional boiling. When the food is ready, steam must be let out before opening the lid of the vessel to avoid getting scalded.

Whereas, a slow cooker is similarly a countertop electrical cooking appliance, it is used for simmering at a lower temperature compared to other cooking methods such as boiling. BBQ Chicken Wings
- 2 lb. chicken wings
- 1 cup BBQ sauce*
- the chicken wings in the Yedi Housewares pressure cooker and cover them with the BBQ sauce.
- Cover the lid and cook on PRESSURE COOK for 20 minutes.
- When ready, serve and enjoy the delicious wings.
* We suggest adding some spices to the sauce if you like it smokey hot!
Hot And Spicy Beef Gravy
- ½ lb. meat, cut into small pieces, boneless *
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 onion, chopped
- ¼ garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin powder
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Heat oil in the Yedi HousewarePressure cooker on SAUTÉ mode, fry garlic and onion for a minute.
- Add the tomato puree, salt, chili powder, and turmeric powder and fry again for 4-5 minutes.
- Add in the boiled meat and stir-fry well on MEAT mode for 10-15 minutes.
- Sprinkle cumin powder and cinnamon powder and mix well.
* You can switch to minced chicken according to own preference.
